Mr. Alan Duric is the Co-founder of Wire Swiss GmbH and serves as its Chief Technology Officer. Skype co-founder Janus Friis is executive chairman, backing Wire, modern, private communications app that is reimagining of how a communications tool like Skype should operate had it been built today. Mr. Duric is serial entrepreneur, who also co-founded Telio Holding ASA (now NextGenTel Holding ASA, listed on Oslo stock exchange under ticker: NGT.OL) where he served as its Chief Technology Officer Interim Chief Executive Officer until January 1, 2013. He is an early pioneer of VoIP (Internet Telephony) and has over a decade of experience and active contributions through VoIP development and standardization work as a Co-author and/or Contributor to a number of today’s internet (IETF, ETSI and ITU) standards. At Global IP Sound, Mr. Duric was Senior Systems Architect, where he steered standardization efforts and was responsible for iLBC (internet Low Bitrate Codec), an IETF and CableLabs standard, which became seed for webRTC, open source standard, used now by most of the major communications apps such as Whatsapp, Facebook Messenger etc. Global IP Sound was acquired by Google Inc. and Mr Duric operated as Google’s advisor during M&A process. Mr. Duric also co-founded Sonorit/Camino networks, where he served as its Director of the Board of Directors. Sonorit has been acquired by Ebay/Skype, 9 months after it has been founded.
